How to add a custom data field?
You can find the option in the Data Preview section as shown below:
Data field options
1. Capture data on the page
This option will help you capture more elements on the screen.
2. Current date & time
This option would record the date and time when a data line is being extracted. If you have a recurring task that runs daily and you want to find out the specific time and date when the data lines are collected, you can include this data field.
TIPS:
You can utilize the Refine extracted date/time function to alter the format of the current time field. Incorporating the current time in Cloud extraction can effectively preserve all duplicates. How can the duplicates be retained in the Cloud runs? The time displayed in Cloud extraction is based on UTC time.
3. Page-level data
Page URL | URL of the current webpage |
Page title | Title of the current webpage. Which serves as a summary of the webpage and is displayed at the uppermost section of a browser window. |
Meta description | Meta description tag of the current page, which contains an overview of its content. |
Meta keyword | Meta keyword tag of the current page |
HTML source code | The complete HTML code of the web page |
4. Fixed value
This option enables the user to establish a predetermined value for each data entry. To do so, the user may designate a personalized field name or select from the available "Common fields" and input the desired fixed value (if a blank field is required, the "Enter Text" box may be left empty).
5. Original input URL
If you are extracting a list of URLs, it may be advantageous to include the original input URL as a field which will allow for comparing the two, thereby identifying any URLs that have not been extracted.
