How can I select the entire section of an item instead of part of it?
Updated over a week ago

In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to scrape the whole section of an item on a web page instead of part of it.

Please use CBC News as an example website (example URL: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada)

We want to scrape the entire news blog including the title and the content of the news blog, but sometimes the selected data is not your target part which may be caused by your mouse deviating a little bit from your target data's area. In the image shown below, only the title of the news is selected.

At this time, click on the Expand the selection button from the tips panel, and then the selected area (highlighted in green) will expand.

Tip: If you keep clicking the Expand the selection button on the tips panel, the selected area (highlighted in green) will keep expanding. You can stop when the selected area includes what you want.
