First, to check if a charging station is compatible with in-app charging, tap on the charger location on the Octopus Charge app map and check its ‘Access’ information. If you can charge using the Octopus Charge app at this location, ‘Octopus Charge app’ will be listed!
Within the charger information tab, you’ll also notice a ‘Charge’ button. Before plugging in, tap this button, choose the correct charger at the location and follow the on-screen steps.
For more information, scroll down to see a list of available chargers at this charging station. Select one to view all Octopus Charge charging options for that connector.
When prompted by the app, connect your EV to the charge point by plugging in. Once connected, tap the ‘Start charge’ button on your screen.
Once the connection has been established, your app will show the ‘Charging…’ screen! Here, you can see: how long your charging session has been active and, with certain operators, how many kWh you are pulling from the charging station and the estimated price.
