Installing the Jimini Draft Plug-in in Microsoft Word

The draft tool is a Word plug-in to be installed.

Here is an overview: the tool appears as a side panel directly accessible in Microsoft Word, on the right side of your document.

Follow these steps to install it:

Click on “Draft” in the left side panel. The Jimini page on the Microsoft Store opens.

Download the Jimini AI plug-in and follow the installation steps.

Once installed, open Microsoft Word.

What is the Jimini Draft tool used for?

Ask Draft to assist you with 4 tasks: drafting, analysis, cleaning, and searching.

How to know which functionality to use?

  1. Drafting

    1. Accelerate the drafting of all your documents: contracts, agreements, reports, Terms and Conditions, data policies… Explain to Jimini what you want to draft in natural language.

    2. Once the first result is obtained, you can iterate by requesting the addition or removal of certain elements (e.g. clauses, mentions, definitions…). Modify the content according to your preference.

    3. Examples:

      1. “Add a drag-along clause”

      2. “Make this share purchase agreement more favorable to the seller”

      3. “Protect the buyer's interests with adequate clauses”

      4. “Strengthen non-compete obligations”

      5. “Mitigate the effects of the asset and liability warranty for the seller”

      6. ...

  1. Analyzing

    1. Understand the content of your document; e.g.:

      1. “What does this contract say?”

      2. “Who is committed to whom, on what basis, and for what purpose?”

      3. “List the clauses favorable to [such party]”

    2. Evaluate different scenarios, for example:

      1. In advisory: “I want my client, buyer X, to become the majority shareholder following the sale, is this possible as it stands?”; “What clauses should be added to ensure that he is the majority shareholder?” etc.

      2. In disputes: “What arguments can be raised by the opposing party?”

  2. Cleaning

    Correct your Word documents, and say goodbye to typos, formatting errors, font errors. Cross-reference checking will be available soon.

  3. Searching

    Find the most relevant documents, parts, clauses within your database, and insert them into your Word document
