Photo editing

How to use photo editing tools to best modify and retouch a deceased person's photo.

Updated over a week ago

Note: Giotto automatically saves a copy of the deceased's photo every time one of the photo editing functions is used.

Let's start by using the photo to create a mourning epigraph (Poster)

  1. During the creation of the epigraph, we click on the Photo button in the left column of Giotto to upload the photo of the deceased. (If you don't remember how to do it, click here)

  2. Click on the photo to bring it up over the epigraph.

  3. By selecting the photo of the deceased person, the "MODIFY IMAGE" button will appear in the top left corner (see image above).

  4. The left side menu opens where all the functionalities to edit and enhance the photo of the deceased will appear.

    From top to bottom:

    • Remove background (removes the background from the main subject of the photo).

    • Blur background (blur the background behind the main subject of the photo).

    • Improve photos (artificial intelligence that enhances photo quality in less than 3 minutes).

    • Face improvement (artificial intelligence that recalculates the features of the deceased's face, improving the quality of the photo).

    • Beauty filter (applies filters to the main subject's face, rejuvenating it).

    • Crop (used to crop the photo).

    • Rubber (removes any objects or subjects from the photo).

    • Magic Brush (allows you to erase an object from a surface and restore the original surface of the photo).

Note: always use improve photo, improve face or beauty filter first and then remove background.
