If you use Jira dashboard items or want to start using them, OKR gadgets are a perfect way to keep an eye on the OKRs without being in the app. Whenever you look at your other gadgets and statistics on the dashboard, you’ll have the most useful OKR information handy.

We have currently 2 items available: the OKR list (which displays a filtrable list of all OKRs) and My OKR Progress that displays the statistics of OKRs for the currently logged-in user).

How to add a dashboard item?

Go to a Jira dashboard of your choice and click on the “Add new gadget button”. On the list, scroll down to find the ones for the OKRs.

After clicking the “Add gadget” button, the item will appear on your dashboard.

OKR List dashboard item

It shows you your OKR list that you can configure in order to trach different things like your OKRs, your team's OKRs, OKRs that need attention, etc.

After adding it to the dashboard, the item will be in editing mode. You can select the period, add/delete columns, change the column width and apply filters.

After you’re done setting it up, click on the “Done” button at the bottom of the gadget. Editing capabilities will now disappear. You can always change the setup by clicking on the 3-dots menu and selecting “Edit”.

Remember that you can have multiple gadgets with different settings each.

My OKR Progress dashboard item

This item is a way to keep an eye on your own OKRs and know how they progress.

After adding the item, you need to select a period from which you’d like to see the OKRs.

After saving, you’d see how many objectives are in which active status, your progress for this period and how many days are left till the end of the period.

You can change the period by clicking on the 3-dots menu and selecting “Edit”.
