How to Adjust Stages in a Project
In olooa, projects are broken down into stages to help streamline your content creation process. However, every project is unique, and you may not need all the default stages for every project. That’s where the Adjust Stages feature comes in. This allows you to customize your project workflow by removing unnecessary stages, ensuring your project stays focused and efficient.
In this article, we’ll walk through how to adjust stages for a project, when to use this feature, and why it’s helpful for your overall workflow.
How to Access the Adjust Stages Feature
Navigate to the Dashboard
From the olooa home screen, go to your Dashboard, where all of your current projects are listed.
Click the Three Dots Next to a Project
Find the project for which you want to adjust the stages. On the right side of the project listing, you’ll see three vertical dots (also known as an options menu).
Click on these dots to open a drop-down menu.
Select 'Adjust Stages'
From the drop-down menu, select Adjust Stages. This will take you to a screen where you can modify the stages for that particular project.
Remove Unnecessary Stages
In the Adjust Stages screen, you’ll see a list of all the current stages for that project.
If you’re not using certain stages (e.g., the Shorts stage because you’re not creating shorts for this project), simply click the Remove button next to the stage you want to remove.
Removing a stage will permanently delete it from the project, so be sure you no longer need it before removing it.
Why Adjusting Stages is Helpful
Customize Your Workflow
Every project is different, and some might not require all the default stages included in a project template. By adjusting the stages, you can tailor the workflow to fit the specific needs of your project, making it more streamlined and focused.Avoid Unnecessary Work
If you’re not creating content for a certain stage (e.g., no shorts for this project), there’s no need to keep that stage around. Removing unnecessary stages ensures that your team stays focused on what matters most, avoiding any confusion or extra work related to irrelevant stages.Keep Projects Organized
Projects can get cluttered when you have too many unused stages. Adjusting the stages helps you maintain a clean, organized workspace so that you and your team can focus only on the tasks that need to be done.Flexible Project Management
Whether your project requirements change halfway through or you decide early on that certain stages aren’t needed, olooa gives you the flexibility to adjust the stages at any time, keeping your project workflow dynamic and adaptable.
When to Use Adjust Stages
Skipping Unnecessary Stages: If your project doesn’t require every stage in the template (e.g., no shorts, no trailers, etc.), adjust the stages before starting to ensure that your workflow is tailored to your needs.
Mid-Project Changes: If the project scope changes partway through, and certain stages are no longer needed, use the adjust stages feature to keep everything on track without unnecessary steps.
Streamlining Projects: For smaller, simpler projects, removing stages that are irrelevant can help you stay focused and avoid distractions.
