Thumbnail Preview in olooa

In olooa, you can preview thumbnails submitted by your team or freelancers on the YouTube home screen before finalizing them for your content. The thumbnail preview feature ensures that you can review and approve the perfect thumbnail, allowing you to make adjustments or request revisions as needed.

In this article, we’ll go over how to access and use the thumbnail preview feature, and why it’s essential to your content creation workflow.

How to Preview Thumbnails

  1. Go to the Project Dashboard

    • Navigate to the Dashboard in olooa and open the project that contains the thumbnail you want to preview.

  2. Locate the Thumbnail Stage

    • In the project view, find the stage dedicated to thumbnails. Thumbnails are typically submitted here for your approval during the thumbnail creation stage of your workflow.

  3. Preview the Submitted Thumbnail

    • Once a team member or freelancer submits a thumbnail, click on the Thumbnail tab for that stage. Here, you’ll see all submitted thumbnails and their status.

    • When hovering over a thumbnail you will see an eye icon, when selected you will see a pop up of the YouTube home screen with your thumbnail somewhere in the list of videos.

    • The preview allows you to see the thumbnail as it will appear to your audience, ensuring it aligns with your branding and grabs attention.

  4. Request Revisions or Approve

    • After viewing the thumbnail, you can either approve it if it meets your standards or provide feedback and request revisions directly within the preview interface.

Why Thumbnail Preview is Important

  1. Accurate Representation of Your Content
Thumbnails are often the first thing a viewer sees when browsing YouTube. The thumbnail preview feature in olooa lets you see how your thumbnail will look once it’s live, ensuring it represents your content accurately and aligns with your video’s theme.

  2. Enhanced Collaboration
The thumbnail preview is a collaborative tool. By providing feedback directly in the thumbnail stage, you can communicate easily with your team or freelancer, ensuring that any necessary revisions are made quickly and efficiently.

  3. Optimizing for Click-Through Rate (CTR)
A good thumbnail can significantly improve your click-through rate. By previewing and tweaking the thumbnail, you can optimize it for maximum audience engagement. Whether it’s adjusting the font size, color scheme, or visual elements, the preview helps you fine-tune every detail.

  4. Quick Approval Process
With the thumbnail preview feature, you can quickly approve submitted thumbnails once you’re satisfied with them. This keeps your project moving forward without delays, ensuring that you always meet your content deadlines.

Best Practices for Thumbnail Preview

  • Test Different Versions: Use the preview to compare multiple thumbnail options. Seeing them side by side helps you make better decisions about which one will work best for your audience.

  • Consider Mobile Views: Thumbnails often appear smaller on mobile devices. When previewing, keep in mind how the thumbnail will look on smaller screens to ensure it’s still clear and engaging.

  • Focus on Branding: Use the preview to check that your thumbnails maintain a consistent look and feel that matches your channel’s branding.
