In olooa, tasks—also known as one-off tasks—are separate from project assignments and allow you to track and manage work that isn’t tied to a specific project. Whether it’s a quick task or something outside of a full project workflow, creating a one-off task helps keep your team organized and on track.

In this article, we’ll explain how to create a task, assign it to a team member, and manage its details.

How to Create a Task in olooa

  1. Go to the Tasks Tab

    • From the main dashboard, navigate to the Tasks tab. This is where you can view and manage all one-off tasks that are not linked to a specific project.

  2. Click the Small Add (+) Button

    • In the Tasks tab, click the small Add (+) button to create a new task. This will open a form where you can input the task details.

  3. Input Task Details

    • In the task creation form, fill out the following details:

      • Task Title: Provide a clear and concise title for the task.

      • Description: Add any relevant information or instructions for completing the task.

      • Due Date: Set a deadline for when the task should be completed.

  4. Assign the Task to a Team Member

    • You can assign the task to a specific team member by selecting their name from the Assign To dropdown menu. This ensures that the right person is responsible for completing the task.

  5. Add a Payment Amount (Optional)

    • If the task involves compensation, you can add a payment amount by entering it in the Payment field. This allows you to track and manage payments for one-off tasks separately from project-based payments.

  6. Save the Task

    • Once you’ve completed the task details, click Save to finalize and create the task. It will now appear in the Tasks tab, where you can track its progress and status.

  3. Track Payments for Individual Tasks
    The option to add a payment amount for one-off tasks ensures that team members are compensated appropriately for tasks not tied to a larger project.

    Creating and managing tasks in the Tasks tab allows you to keep your team organized and focused on both larger project assignments and smaller individual tasks.
