Learn how one off tasks behave when assigned to team members

When you assign a task to a team member in olooa, it’s automatically added to their personal Tasks tab. This feature ensures that team members can easily access, track, and manage any one-off tasks or responsibilities assigned to them. Once they complete the task, they can mark it as completed directly within the platform.

In this article, we’ll explain how assigned tasks behave and how team members can manage them.

How Assigned Tasks Work

  1. Task Assignment

    • When you create a task and assign it to a team member (through the Tasks tab or directly within a project), the assigned team member will automatically see the task appear in their own Tasks tab.

  2. Viewing Assigned Tasks

    • The team member can navigate to their Tasks tab from the main dashboard. Here, they will see a list of all tasks assigned to them, including any new one-off tasks that have been added.

  3. Managing and Marking Tasks as Completed

    • Once the team member has completed the task, they can mark it as completed by selecting the task and clicking the Mark as Completed button. This will update the task's status and notify the project owner or manager that the task has been finished.

  4. Tracking Progress

    • Both team members and project managers can track the progress of assigned tasks in the Tasks tab, ensuring that everything is on schedule and handled efficiently.
