OmniGPT currently offers uploading files up to 5MB, and 200 pages. If your PDF or DOCX document exceeds this limit, you'll need to split it into smaller sections before uploading.

There are several tools and methods available to compress or split PDF and DOCX documents. The appropriate method will depend on your specific operating system and software.

Compress your files

PDF compression software offers more advanced options. Popular tools like "Smallpdf: https://smallpdf.com/compress-pdf" (online and desktop versions) provide various compression levels and features like batch processing.

Save Word files in a smaller format: When saving your Word document, utilize the "Save As" option. Choose a format like "DOCX (Zipped)" which compresses the file automatically.

Splitting Your PDF or DOCX for OmniGPT

Here's a quick guide to splitting your document (specific steps may vary):

  1. Find a PDF or DOCX Splitter Tool: Many free online tools and software programs can split PDFs and DOCX documents. Search online for "split PDF" or "split DOCX" depending on your file type.

  2. Upload or Open Your Document: Follow the tool's instructions to upload your file or open it within the program.

  3. Choose Splitting Method: Some tools offer options to split by page number, page range, or file size. Select the method that works best for your needs.

  4. Split Your Document: Once you've chosen your splitting method, initiate the process. The tool will create separate files based on your selections.

  5. Download or Save Split Files: Save or download the newly created smaller files for uploading to OmniGPT.

Feeding OmniGPT the Pieces

Process each split file individually in OmniGPT. Depending on your task, you might need to manually combine the results later. By splitting your files, you can utilize OmniGPT's power even with large documents. Just keep the context window in mind and consider splitting strategically to get the best results!
