If you delete a ticket in Omnique, we have a soft delete feature that does not permanently delete the ticket until you decide to. This means, if you accidentally delete a ticket, you have a chance to recover it before fully deleting. This article will walk you through recovering a deleted ticket, and how to fully delete old estimates once they are in the deleted section.

How to Recover a Deleted Ticket

If a ticket is accidentally deleted, you can easily restore the ticket to an active state. This is done on the Tickets>Estimates screen.

In my example, I cannot find ticket 5623, which means it has most likely been deleted. To see deleted tickets, choose the “View Deleted” link on the right-hand side.

You will see ticket 5623 shows a DELETED status.

To recover the ticket, go to the right-hand side and choose “Undelete Ticket.”

This will restore your ticket to the estimates search screen. To see the results again, choose “Hide Deleted.”

The ticket is now restored.

How to Permanently Delete Tickets

This portion of the article will show you how to clean up the deleted section. I am going to clean up my deleted section for the last month or so. Select the date range at the top first, and then choose “View Deleted.”

This will show you all the deleted tickets for the time frame you selected. You have 2 options. You can either delete an individual ticket, or you can bulk select the tickets to be deleted. To choose 1 ticket to be deleted, go to the right-hand side of the ticket and choose “Delete Permanently.”

The system will prompt you 1 more time asking if you really want to delete the ticket. Please keep in mind that this delete is permanent, and you will never be able to recover the ticket.

To bulk delete tickets, navigate to the Actions menu, and choose “Select Tickets.”

This will open a set of checkboxes next to the ticket numbers. Select the ones you want to delete, and then choose “Delete Selection.”

The system will give the final prompt to let you know the tickets will be permanently deleted. You will not be able to recover them if you permanently delete.

To exit the deleted menu, choose “Hide Deleted.
