On The Stage provides an option to present an online livestream using your choice of third party software.

Software such as OBS works with compatible mobile devices and their built-in cameras or your equipment you may already have or which is easily available to you.

🎭Noteworthy: OTS is unable to provide specific troubleshooting for third party software or equipment. We can confirm if your OTS provided RTMP key is connected with CenterStream, our online video player.

🎓 Recap:

This article outlines the essential equipment required to livestream a DIY performance using the On The Stage platform. It emphasizes the flexibility of using third-party software, such as OBS, in conjunction with compatible mobile devices or existing equipment to broadcast live events. The guide also notes that while On The Stage provides an RTMP key for streaming integration, specific troubleshooting for third-party tools and hardware falls outside their support scope.

🚀 Best Practices:

  • Select Appropriate Software: Choose reliable third-party streaming software like OBS Studio that is compatible with your devices.

  • Ensure Equipment Compatibility: Verify that your cameras, microphones, and other hardware work seamlessly with your chosen software.

  • Test Your Setup: Conduct trial runs to confirm that your RTMP key is correctly configured and that the livestream functions as intended.

  • Prepare for Limited Support: Be aware that On The Stage can confirm RTMP key connections but does not offer troubleshooting for third-party software or equipment.

  • Maintain Backup Solutions: Have alternative equipment or streaming options ready to address potential technical issues during live performances.

By adhering to these guidelines, you can effectively set up and manage a DIY livestream performance, providing a seamless and engaging experience for your audience.
