Testing Your Livestream

Here are the steps to check your livestream connection in our online viewer, CenterStream.

Please test your livestream connection at least 24hrs prior to your event.

To access your livestream testing complete the following steps.

For DIY:

From you main dashboard, select the event you would like to test and click the red Details tab.

Click on Livestream Settings on the dashboard under Show Details.

Your streaming credentials and testing space are available here. These streaming credentials will be entered into your preferred streaming software.

Please contact us if you do not see your connection settings.

For Switcher Studio:

Once you receive your Switcher Credentials from the Customer Support team you can test your live stream. You will receive a Switcher Credentials email from Customer Support 14 days before your final performance.

Customer Support uploads your custom RTMP into the Switcher app. Familiarize yourself with the app and you will be all set!

Confirm that you're broadcasting to your On The Stage CenterStream viewer.

To do that in the Switcher Studio app:

1. Click on the Outputs tab on the bottom of the screen -- the blue square with an arrow pointing to the right.

2. Under Broadcasting, confirm that the blue check mark is next to the Custom RTMP option. This ensures that the video is connected to your On The Stage CenterStream.

Test your livestream:

1. In your On The Stage account select Productions. Click Live and select Details on the show page. Click Livestream Settings. There is a red button that says Test Live Stream Page. Click this to get to your On The Stage CenterStream.

2. Within your SwitcherStudio account, click on your video. Press the red (Go Live) button at the top right corner of the app. This will allow your stream to broadcast to you CenterStream.
