Adjusting General Admission Seating Capacity

How to adjust General Admission Capacity after publishing.

Updated today

Here are some reasons why you may need to adjust your General Admission Capacity:

  • Venue layout changes – If your setup changes due to staging, equipment, or accessibility needs, you may need to increase or decrease available seating.

  • High or low ticket demand – You might want to expand capacity for popular performances or limit it for smaller, more intimate events.

  • Performance reschedules or relocations – If a show is moved to a different venue or time, adjusting capacity helps match the new setup.

  • Correct setup errors – If the original capacity was entered incorrectly, updating it ensures accurate ticket availability and reporting.

Noteworthy: Once a reserved show is published you cannot add or remove seats. If you do need to remove seats from a reserved show, you can place holds on the seats rendering them unpurchasable. If you need to add additional seats to a reserved show, you can only do so by adding in General Admission seats.

👟Walk Through

To change capacity on an existing General Admission show, go to the show's details page.

Click on the Edit button under the Venue Details section.

Enter the new capacity number in the box and push Save.
