The media monitoring feature on the influencer profile is designed to help you to vet influencers you're thinking of working with. It does this by automatically searching a database of online media for mentions of the influencer alongside key B2B topics, then summarising some key data on the articles found. We check 270k outlets globally, retrieving 1.5m articles monthly to save you hours of searching to check the background and online footprint of an influencer.

Methodology

Once a month, searches are run for 90k influencers by name, combined with keywords from around 200 key B2B topics. Most articles which match these criteria (with a few exceptions for violent or explicit language) will be assigned to the influencer's profile to be analysed. The data that you see in the Online Media tab of the profile is based on these articles.

What data can I find to break down the influencer's media coverage?

Overview

This section aggregates the following stats for the last 12 months of media coverage:

  • Total Articles matching the search criteria for this influencer

  • Total reach (site visitors per month) of the sources this influencer was detected in

  • Average reach of the sources this influencer was detected in

  • Average articles matching the search criteria for this influencer per month

  • Articles matching the search criteria for this influencer in the last month's search (reminder that these are conducted at the end of each calendar month, so "last month" refers to the last calendar month, not the last 30 days)
