🧩 What is Points 2.0?

Points 2.0 is Onaroll’s next-generation rewards system built to give you full control over costs, while creating more excitement and momentum for your team. Points 2.0 introduces three major improvements:

1. Fixed Monthly Budgets

Set a flat rewards budget per store and we take it from there. This gives you predictable costs, with flexible recognition for your team.

2. Point Expiration

Points now expire after 90 days (unless team members stay active engaged in Onaroll). This keeps rewards flowing and avoids hoarding.

3. Dynamic Point Values

Point-to-dollar values adjust daily based on how much of your monthly budget has been used. This ensures you stay on track without needing to monitor redemptions.

💡 Think of it like Uber pricing or airline tickets. Sometimes your Points go further, sometimes they don’t — it all evens out.

⚙️ How to Set Up Points 2.0

✅ Step 1: Set Your Monthly Budget

Each store has its own monthly rewards budget.

  • New customers: You’ll set your budget during onboarding.

  • Existing customers: Contact your Customer Success Manager or our Support Team and we’ll recommend a budget based on past redemptions.

  • Adjusting later: You can change budgets anytime via the Operator Dashboard. Changes take effect the next billing cycle.

🔁 Step 2: Understand How Budget Usage Works

Your fixed monthly budget covers all redemptions, and we handle small adjustments for you:

Scenario

What Happens

You underspend

Unused dollars roll into next month

You overspend

Slight overages are deducted from next month

Heavy early redemptions

Point value adjusts to stay within budget

⏳ How Point Expiration Works

All Points expire 90 days after they’re earned, unless the team member actively engages in Onaroll.

This encourages ongoing engagement and ensures rewards are meaningful and used in a timely way.

✨ A banner in the app will warn team members about Points at risk of expiring.

📉 How Dynamic Point Values Work

To help your budget stretch across the month, Point values adjust automatically:

  • On slow redemption days, Points go further

  • On busy redemption days, Points cost more

  • Team members only see Point value at redemption time

This automatic system keeps the budget on track while maintaining a great user experience.

👀 What You Can Monitor

As a Company Leader, you’ll have visibility into:

  • Budget usage and redemptions

  • Store-by-store activity

All of this is accessible in your Operator Dashboard.

📣 How to Talk to Your Team About Points 2.0

Here’s how to introduce the program to your team in a clear, motivating way:

🆕 For Teams New to Onaroll

“We’ve launched a new rewards system that gives you more ways to earn, and more reasons to stay active! You’ll earn Points for completing Goals, answering trivia, and unlocking achievements. Just remember: Points expire after 90 days, so use them often! Some days, your Points go further, so check the app regularly for the best time to redeem.”

🔄 For Existing Teams Transitioning to Points 2.0

“We’re updating how rewards work in Onaroll. You’ll still earn Points for things like goals and trivia, but now we’ve added Badges and Streaks to make rewards more exciting and fair.

Points now expire after 90 days unless you stay active, and the value of your points may shift slightly day to day, so check the app often and redeem when you see a good deal.

Everything you earn still adds up to real rewards, and you’ll start seeing even more ways to win.”
