Can I invite others to work on my project on Onboarding.Online?

Yes, you can send invitations and assign roles such as owner, editor, or viewer to new staff members for your project.

How many people can work on one project simultaneously?

There is no limit to the number of people who can work on a single project at once.

What data are needed for registering a new user?

To invite a user, you will need his email only so that the user will have access to your onboardings.

How do I receive an invitation to a project on Onboarding Online?

When the project owner sends an invitation, you will receive an email from connect@onboarding.online with the subject "Invite to Onboarding Online Project". This email will include the name of the project you've been invited to, along with an invitation link.

What should you do to accept the invitation?

Click the invitation link in the email. If you're new to Onboarding.Online, sign up with your email and create a password. Existing users should sign in with their existing account details.


What are the steps for new users of Onboarding Online when accepting an invitation?

If you are new to Onboarding Online and haven't registered before, you'll need to enter your email and create a new password on the sign-up form.

What should existing users of Onboarding Online do when accepting an invitation?

If you already have an Onboarding Online account, click on the 'Sign In' link and enter the credentials of your existing account.

What happens after you log in or sign up in response to the invitation?

After logging in or signing up, an invitation pop-up will appear. By clicking "Yes" on this pop-up, the project you've been invited to will be added to your list of projects, granting you access according to your assigned role.

What if you choose not to accept the project invitation immediately?

If you click "No" on the invitation pop-up, the project will not be added to your list, and you won't have access to it. To gain access later, you can either click on the invitation link again or request the project owner to resend the invitation.

Why do I receive an error when clicking the invitation link?

If you click on the invitation link and receive an error, make sure that you are authorized with exactly the same email address on which you received the invite. If the email addresses do not match, you will see an error message stating "Access denied to invite"

I've declined the invitation to join the project by mistake, how to proceed further in such a case?

You will not see the project on your "All projects" screen where you've been invited to.

If the access is still needed, simply click on the same invitation link in your contact email to join the project.

Or, if it doesn't help, you will have to ask the owner for the second request for a new invitation link to the exact project to complete the procedure with joining.

What user roles are available once receive an invitation to step into the project?

Currently, there are 3 main user roles available in the project: owner; editor, and viewer. Only the owner of the project has access to the full range of the embedded settings; while the editor can obtain the same functionality besides adding new users to the project; and where the viewer can only see the set onboardings without making alterations.

What user roles can delete the project?

Only owners can remove users from the the project including themselves, thus, deleting the irrelevant project. Other users have the functionality to edit the onboardings inside the project with all the suppossed tools available for work, but not to delete it.

What user roles can delete the onboarding?

This option is available to the project owners and all the users who can edit the onboarding.

What user roles can put a new onboarding in production?

This option is available to the project owners and all the users who can edit the onboarding.

How can I verify my user role in the current project?

Your role is listed in the "Users and Permissions" tab of the project settings.

Can I create my own project if my current user role is not the owner?

Yes, regardless of your role in a current project, you can always start a new project and automatically become its owner.

What can I retrieve when I sign up and open the "Users and permissions" screen?

After signing up and opening the "Users and permissions" screen, you should see the title "Users and permissions," a button "+ Add member", and a table listing users with the columns including such sections as "Member," "Role," "Active," and "Actions." You should also see one row with your personal information either, containing your registered email, role as owner, and active status as Yes.

What happens if I try to add a member who has already obtained a role in the project?

You'll receive an error message stating, "This user already exists in this project."

Can I change the user roles of other members?

Yes, if your user role corresponds to the owner of the project.

Who can invite other members to the project and set their user roles?

Only the owner of the project can provide permission to join the onboarding by sending an invitation to the contact email of a user.

What functionality tools are available to the user as an editor in the project?

The editor should try editing the onboarding flow, changing the onboarding name, languages, theme settings, and screen settings for both the theme and flow, and can also create, clone, delete, and publish an onboarding; can create and edit A/B tests.

What functionality tools are available to the user as a viewer in the project?

The viewer role is limited to viewing the onboarding flow and screen in different languages only, they can't edit or perform any actions in the added project.

Can several users edit the same onboarding at once?
Several users, including project owners and those with other assigned roles, can edit the same onboarding simultaneously. However, it's important to note that a multiplayer mode for concurrent editing is not supported. This means that while multiple users can access and modify the same onboarding, changes made by one editor may not be immediately visible to others working on it at the same time. As such, caution is advised when multiple users are editing the same onboarding concurrently to avoid potential conflicts or overwrites in the changes being made.
