In this article, you will find information about creating and managing connections between screens in onboarding, as well as how to segment users based on their input, creating a convenient path for the user and individually nurturing each segment.

Creating Connections:

To create a connection between screens, press on the output of one screen and drag it to the input of the next screen

Alternative Way to Add Connections:

Drag a new screen over the one you want to connect it with. A prompt will appear, offering output options that correspond to the screen. For more details about these outputs, refer to the article provided

Multiple Connections:

Multiple connections can lead out from one screen to subsequent screens.

Users can be directed from several screens to a single screen.

Using Transition Conditions for User Segmentation:

When multiple connections branch from one screen, transition conditions help determine the next screen based on the user's choice or input. This feature allows you to segment users based on their choices or input, enhancing the personalization of the onboarding experience.

Limitations

You cannot connect Input to Input, Output to Output, or Input and Output with the same Screen ID.

Managing Transition Conditions for Segmentation:

Each connection has an [i] point. Clicking on this opens the "Transition Conditions" pop-up for managing the connection. In this window, you can:

1) Delete the Connection: Press 'Delete', then confirm. 'Cancel' leaves it as is.

2) Change Transition Type (for mobile onboarding only): Select a new type, like 'Default' or 'Modal', and press 'Save' to confirm.

How Transition Types Appear in iOS Onboarding:

3) Add Transition Conditions:

  • Press +Add in the "Transition Conditions" pop-up to add segmentation conditions.

  • Choose "Screen type" from the dropdown list.

  • Select 'Operator type' and 'Value' for customization.

  • Add as many conditions as needed.

Changes can be made anytime by clicking on the [i] point and saving after modifications.

📣 Note:If the option to add conditions is unavailable (no listed screens added in this sequence), you will see a corresponding prompt.
