Multiple service types of different categories (Cars, Delivery, Electric, etc) are integrated into the system.

Check the list of available service types down the link https://onde.app/service-types

Major configuration every company should make is the addition and set-up of the services it's going to provide. Proper service rates set-up is one of the markers that secures a company’s success on the market.

To add a new service navigate to tab “Services” in the Management section of My Hub.

Tap on “Add service” in the top right corner of the screen.

Configuration of a service is divided into 4 subsections with specific parameters:

General settings

Payment methods

Fee settings

Night rates

Let’s configure a service's General settings

1. Select the necessary “Service type” from the dropdown menu in the pop-up window

2. Give your service a custom name in case you want it to be different from the default service type name. Just add the name you want (custom symbols, emoji are allowed) to the “Name” field and your customer app will display the custom service type name. This is on condition that you have just 1 service on the same services, otherwise, the customer app will show the default service type name.

3. Choose “Regular” or “Hourly” rate type. For regular rate type services trip cost is calculated as per taximeter mode and fee settings (per min/per km value, flag down fee, minimum cost).

For “Hourly rate” services, trip calculation is based on per hour value. Refer to Service configuration 4. Fee settings: “Meter modes” and rates for details on adding both rate types.

4. Select the route type from the three options in the dropdown list:

car route

bicycle route

direct line route

Consult Car and Bicycle routes and Aircraft and Marine services routes on specifics of routes for different service types.

5. and 6. Set the type of orders your service will work on: Preorders and/or instant bookings (ASAP). Check the post Instant bookings vs pre-orders for details on correct order type set-up.

7. Open the drop-down list and define the number of passenger seats the service allows. This is a maximum vehicle capacity. The number of seats is displayed in a service card of a customer app.

8. Enable "Hide phone numbers" if you don’t want drivers and customers to see each other’s numbers in their apps. Mind that if “Hide phone number” option is switched on, drivers and customers will not be able to call each other on any orders placed on this service.

9. In “Working areas” you can enable/disable the areas in which your service will be available for. Read more in Custom operational area configuration.

Set "Customer app" options up :

10. Tick the box “Invisible for customers” in case you want to hide the service for booking via Customer app and Web app. Such services will only be available for orders via Operator app.

11. Enable "Show driver ETA=8 min even if it’s longer" in case you want your customers to see 8 min ETA for any trip request when a driver's arrival to the pick-up exceeds 8 minutes.

Define “Driver app" options :

As part of driver management flow you may also decide WHEN to show trip cost to your drivers: Always/When trip started/At the end of the trip/For manual payments only. With “For manual payments” option if the order is on a card payment method the trip total is hidden from the driver, for cash/terminal order the driver can see the trip total on the "Payment confirmation screen" only.

13. In “Allowed service types" you can allow drivers on other services to receive jobs on this one. This is ideal for times when a demand for a certain service may exceed the number of available drivers on the requested service. Check How to allow drivers to work on several services for details of such a configuration.

14. Enable “Back-to-back” rides for drivers by switching the toggle, in case you want to allow drivers to receive a request for a new order while they are finishing a previous one.

15. allow/disallow the drivers on the service to see drop off address for instant orders;

16. allow/disallow the drivers on the service to see passenger details (phone number and name) before pre order starts.

17. In “Operator App" you may set the service pin color on the Operator App map. All the drivers on this service will have the same pin color on the map.

Now that you have covered all the General settings, tap “Next” in the right bottom corner of the page and proceed to Service configuration 2. Payment methods: trip calculation options.
