Several services on one Service type

A company can configure several services on 1 service type.

For example 2 Economy services:

If a company has several services on one service type (for example several regular Economy services) they are arranged randomly within the default service type in the Customer app.

If the services within one service type have custom names, the service type record will still show default service type name (e.i. Economy).

The minimum of the cheapest service is shown on the “Services” screen in the Customer app.

A driver is linked to a specific Service type (e.i. Economy), hence he will receive orders on any service configured within this Service type. The orders will be distributed to drivers as per the intelligent queue algorithm.

IMPORTANT

If several Services created on 1 Service type are linked to different Working areas configured in the operational area of the Company, drivers who work on this Service type will receive orders on this or that Service depending on their location.

For example:

  1. create two Economy Services: Economy 1 and Economy 2 with different fees.

  2. configure two working areas “Area 1” and “Area 2”.

  3. link “Economy 1” to “Area 1” and “Economy 2” to “Area 2”.

  4. a driver on Economy service type will receive orders on “Economy 1” service when he is working in “Area 1” and on “Economy 2” service when he is working in “Area 2”

  5. if some part or “Area 1” and “Area 2” are overlapping the driver will receive orders on either Service as per intelligent queue algorithm.

Read more on showing a specific service type first in line of other services in Pinned service type in customer app.

Consult the post Services: order in the apps and images used for details on default service types images and grouping.
