Customer and Driver wallet top-up with Orange Money

Orange Money mobile money allows for a fast and efficient Driver Wallet and Customer Wallet top-up. It is a great alternative to regular card top-up as one does not have to add any cards to in-app Wallet but rather use the balance of their Orange Money account.

Orange Money is added on a Merchant level by a Brand or a Merchant manager and activated for a company in My hub.

Orange Money is integrated via Flocash payment gateway and works for Cameroon and Ivory Coast

To enable Orange Money payment method on wallet top-ups a company should:

  1. Have a merchant account with Flocash

  2. Have customer Wallet activated

  3. Subscribe driver to driver plans

To add Orange Money for Driver and Сustomer Wallet top-ups, proceed to the tab “Payment gateways” > select Orange Money in “For wallet top-up only” > tap PROCEED > choose Flocash from the drop down list of payment gateways, fill out all the keys and tap “SAVE” to finalise.

Once that is done, proceed to My Hub > Company Settings > Payment gateways and enable Orange Money for “Wallet top-up only” enable Orange Money in “Manage company payment gateways”

All set! Now your customers and drivers are able to top their Wallets up with Orange Money as follows:

  1. Access Wallet in Customer/Driver app and Select Orange Money

  2. Fill in “Orange Money payer details” > Continue

  3. Specify the top-up amount > Continue

  4. Tap “Pay” on Your wallet receives screen

  5. Add your phone number on “Methode de paiement” screen and confirm the payment in a third party app

  6. Review payment status on the final screen and check the copy of the invoice sent to the email the user specified at top-up

Here is a sample of Wallet top-up flow with Orange Money via Customer app.

Payment confirmation in a third-party app differs for Ivory Coast and Cameroon:

  1. For Ivory Coast it is a screen with the OPT field. OTP is sent by the third-party

2. For Cameroon it is a screen with a time, within which one has to confirm the transaction in the third party app

If the payment with Orange Money is successful the transaction will be shown in Wallet transaction history of one’s Customer or Driver app

In case the payment fails a relevant message will appear of the app screen

Orange Money details of a user are stored in the app and can be used for further wallet top-ups with Orange Money. Alternatively, one can always update Orange Money details used for previous payments with new ones.

If Customer Wallet top-up limit is set, one will not be able to affect a top-up that exceeds the limit.

If “Transaction fee” is added in Flocash for “For wallet top-up” it will apply for each customer Wallet top-up with Orange Money.

Transaction fee does not apply for driver Wallet top-up. To avoid transaction fees on small top-ups one may want to set a higher Minimum payment amount

3DS is not supported for wallet top-up with “mobile money” payment methods

IMPORTANT

One may choose to have separate merchant accounts for 1 company:

  1. One - for regular card payments/direct customer Wallet/driver Wallet top-ups with cards

  2. Another one - for wallet top-up with Orange Money payments.

For that, the company has to add 2 separate payment records in Merchant one by one and activate them in My Hub
