Creating an order from the Operator app is a meticulous process, requiring Operator time and effort.
Most regular customers have a list of pick-up and drop-off addresses used on a regular basis: home, work, gym, grocery, etc.
To expedite order creation in the Operator app, every “New order” record for a customer pulls a maximum of 5 recent pick-up and drop-off addresses used by the customer in the recent orders.
When an Operator creates a “New order”, adds a customer’s phone number and puts the cursor into the pick-up/drop-off address fields, the drop-down list of the last 5 addresses used by the customer is pulled. If the address the customer needs is on the list, the operator can select it and save a lot of effort to create the order.
Tips on recent addresses suggestion:
the addresses are sorted by the date and time of order creation. The addresses used most recently are shown at the top of the list
the list contains the addresses pulled from both instant and preorders
only the addresses for the Operator app and Operator API orders are added to the list. The ones a customer enters in the Customer app/web app are not taken into account for recent addresses selection
if the pick-up address was in the area with stop-points (points within a working area restraining pick-up to these addresses), the name of the stop point is displayed
if a business name has been used, it is shown in the address (e.g., Novotel Warszawa Airport)
duplicating addresses are excluded from the list (e.g., if a customer used the same address for the last 5 orders, it will be considered as 1 recent addresses record). However, if the same address has been used in a different language, for ex. English and Spanish (applicable when operators work with different locales), the addresses in both languages will show on the list
5 recent addresses are selected from the pull of all created orders (once an order is dispatched). Order status does not matter: cancelled, finished, search expired, etc
the list of 5 recent drop-off addresses is also pulled for additional points (multiple drop-off)
recent addresses suggestion depends on the operator type:
for a full access operator the selection of recent customer addresses is based on the orders created by all operators
for a limited/public/partner access operator the selection of recent customer addresses is limited to the pull of orders created from own operator account
if an address is added into the pick-up/drop-off field and then deleted, to pull the list of recent addressed an operator has to once again put a cursor to the address field
We hope your operators make the best of using recent addresses suggestion to optimise their work!
