Deep links vs Web links
Deep links are a type of links that send users directly to an app, rather than a website or a store. They can be used to take users straight to specific sections or functionality within an app.
A standard URL, on the other hand, is a link that directs a user to a certain webpage on the internet.
Deep links specifics and benefits
deep links send users to particular in-app locations, saving them time and energy wasted on having to navigate to the content manually. This improves user experience and customer satisfaction.
deep links, if clicked on a device, move users onto the app in a single click, if the app is already installed. If a user clicks on a deep link and doesn’t have the app installed, they are transferred to the store instead.
Once a user installs and opens up the app, they can still be sent to the in-app location where you initially wanted them to land. If the link is opened from a non-mobile device, it leads to the company’s website which has an option to download the apps as well. This is a most elegant way to grow your user database.
deep links can be set to direct users to particular events or pages, which could tie into campaigns run with the purpose of increasing user conversion and retention rates. Such campaigns can be tracked and provide extra data points on how they perform (read up on the deep linking in campaigns and their effect here)
How to get your customer app deep link
deep link is created in Admin for all new partners after the apps are published as one of the final steps of the white label implementation. It is a single link for both platforms: Android and iOS

How to make use of your customer app deep link
original deep link can be used to create a push notifications campaign in Firebase. Once the campaign is launched the participants will get a push with a link and be redirected to the application. Check the guide on steps to set your Firebase push campaign
deep link can be used to create a promotion campaign in Firebase or else. For that one has to create a deep link with promo codes for direct promo code application in customer app (available from app version 0.43.07)
How to launch a promotion campaign using your customer app deep link
1. create a coupon/referral campaign with a shared coupon code in MyHub.
2. request the generic deep link from your personal Account manager.
3. copy the deep link URL and manually add a ?promo=[CouponCode] parameter to it, where [CouponCode] = shared coupon code from the promo campaign you’ve created in MyHub.
Your deep link should look like this:
4. copy the created deep link with the promo code and use it in your communication with your customers to automatically add the promo code in their customer app.
The generic deep link is default to be used in any campaign of the brand. So if you need to run a campaign with a different promo code, add the new code at the end of the original link to replace the previous code.
IMPORTANT
The deep link works for all kinds of coupon-based promotions: for the Referral programs as well as Coupon programs. It's important to keep in mind the following points for the referral programs:
the coupon shared via deep link will invite only new participants to the referral programs (if a customer has used up an initial referral coupon of the company, they won’t be allowed to redeem of a second one)
initial coupon codes only can be shared through the deep link
initial coupon code must be a shared one. For individual codes it is required to create a separate deep link for each individual code
