Assigning a Department to a Manager

How to assign one or more departments to a Manager and setting email notification preferences.

To assign one or more departments to a Manager on oneHR, start by clicking Employees in the oneHR main menu. Click on the relevant Manager to access their profile. Then click Information in the Employees sub-menu.

Scroll down and you will find a tab titled Manages. In the drop down menu alongside, choose the departments this manager will oversee. You also have the option to remove departments from this manager, simply click the Cross next to the assigned department name.

This manager will now be responsible for all employees assigned to this/these department/s, including managing any leave requests from these employees.

If you want to assign a department to a manager who will not be overseeing leave requests, you can turn off leave request email notifications. Below the Manages tab, you will see a tab titled Email Notifications. Click Edit and use the checkbox feature to manage the email notifications this manager will receive.
