Starting on July 1, 2021, Google & Facebook have announced that GST/HST tax will be charged to all Ads accounts in Canada that do not have a GST/HST Registration Number associated with their account.

To avoid these additional charges, please provide your Marketing Specialist with your GST/HST Registration number.

What is a GST Number?

Most businesses in Canada are required to be registered with a GST number. Registration is mandatory for all businesses except for those that fall into the classification of small suppliers (corporations with total taxable revenues under $30,000 annually).

Where can I find my GST Number?

A GST number is a unique tax identification number assigned to your business by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). It's also known as your business number (BN), as it identifies other business dealings your company has with the CRA.

If you do not currently have one, you can register online, by phone, or by mail.

More information on registration can be found here.

GST/HST Registration Number Example: 123456789RT0001

If you are based in British Columbia, Saskatchewan OR Quebec:

You also have the option of providing us your PST/QST numbers.
