Industry Background
Over the past few years, the messaging industry has undergone significant changes. Businesses frequently use text messaging to send alerts, appointment reminders, notifications, and marketing promotions to customers. However, with this growth, there has also been a rise in spam messages and a decline in message quality.
To address these issues, U.S. mobile carriers like AT&T, US Cellular, and T-Mobile are implementing new standards to reduce spam and maintain message quality. These changes include registration processes and message blocking for non-compliant 10DLC phone numbers
OneLocal's Compliance Approach
To align with these industry standards, Twilio, our messaging partner, has introduced requirements to register OneLocal customer numbers. This ensures compliance and enhances text deliverability. As part of this initiative, OneLocal is automatically registering all existing customers sending messages to U.S. recipients. This measure helps ensure compliance with new standards and minimizes the risk of message blocking
Benefits of A2P 10DLC Registration
Messages sent via OneLocal to U.S. recipients will benefit from:

Additional Considerations
