When using OneNotary's services, clients can rest assured that the notarial acts performed by OneNotary notaries are compliant with the notarial laws and administrative rules of the US jurisdictions in which the notaries are commissioned.
OneNotary will refund any amounts where you have paid for an invalidly performed or noncompliant notarial act.
Unfortunately, even when the notarial act has been validly performed, documents may be rejected, declined, or refused for a variety of reasons as noted below. OneNotary will not refund the costs of providing notarial act services in such instances.
However, OneNotary is 100% committed to working closely with you to resolve relying or receiving party issues whenever possible.
No Charges Before Notarization Completion
The payer provides a credit/debit card prior to the session. But the card will not be charged until the session is complete.
How can you prevent document rejection?
There are some common reasons why your document may be rejected by relying or receiving parties. Please check your documents before submitting them, so there is minimal delay in completing your notarization.
Please note: the notary’s role is limited to verifying your identity, reviewing documents, bringing attention to blank terms, and confirming your willingness and capacity to sign.
The notary is not responsible for the accuracy or correctness of the document content.
Name, Date, and Address Consistency:
Please make sure all information in your document is entered correctly before your session with the notary.
Here are some tips:
Do not enter future or past dates for your notarization.
If you need to fill out a document before the session, double-check that all required fields are completed correctly and are not missed.
For pre-filled documents, verify that all information is accurate before the session.
If any corrections are needed, ask the notary to make the changes during the session.
Check the Original Document:
To ensure a smooth experience, please double-check your document for typos before uploading it to your session.
Notarization Acceptance Readiness
It is your responsibility to confirm that the relying or receiving party accepts documents notarized online or if it, instead, requires an in-person notarization.
State-Specific Notary Requirements:
On rare occasions, documents may be required to be notarized by a notary from a specific state. Before initiating a session, double-check this requirement.
If a notary from a different state picks up your request, promptly inform them of this specific state requirement. This will ensure your session is directed to the appropriate notary.
Document Specific Requirements:
Sometimes, the receiving party may reject your document due to a unique document requirement that has nothing to do with the notarial act.
As an example, there might be a requirement for attesting witnesses that the document preparer neglected to include.
