Note of security: Changes may lead to your domain being inaccessible for a short period of time. Therefore, we recommend using a new or a subdomain.

Manual for adjusting the name server:

STEP 3: Connecting your domain from Cloudflare with Onepage

1. Go to the DNS settings in Cloudflare

2. Type in the following to link your main domain with Onepage:

Hostname: @

Type: CNAME

Value: whitelabel.onepage.io

Important: “Whitelabel” is not a placeholder. Make sure to put in "whitelabel.onepage.io", NOT your Onepage domain!

3. If you want to connect a subdomain, enter the following information:

Hostname: Eg.. "go" or "lp", for you to be able to access your website at go.deine-webseite.de

Type: CNAME

Wert: whitelabel.onepage.io

Important: You’ll see how to correctly forward to www.deinedomain.de below.

STEP 4: Activating SSL in Cloudflare

  1. Got to Cloudflare in “SLL/TLS”.

  2. Choose the option “flexible”.

3. Activate “Always use HTTPS”

STEP 5: Use your new domain in Onepage

  1. Log into your account

  2. Open the settings on the Onepage project you want to link to your domain

3. Type in the linked domain in the domain settings without WWW.!

Your Onepage site might not be accessible via your custom domain if the entered domain wasn’t linked correctly in Cloudflare.

COMMON ERRORS THAT MIGHT OCCUR:

Error: Trying to access your Onepage site via the newly linked domain and then this happens:

Solution: Publish your Onepage site.

Error: When going to your site via www.yourdomain.de the displayed site is not your Onepage site. When going to your site via deinedomain.de this issue doesn’t occur.

Solution: Add another CNAME-entry in Cloudflare.

Hostname: www

Type: CNAME

Value: whitelabel.onepage.io

Error: Your visitors don’t always land on the right site.

Solution: set up a forwarding like in the following example:

Settings will then look as follows:… Forwarding URL; permanent redirects; Cancel; Save).

Error: Cloudflare says that I can only set up an A-, AA-, AAA-, or CNAME record.

Solution: If you used a different host for your domain there has already been an A-record set up that calls upon the data of your old hosting which has to be deleted.

CAUTION: If you do so, your old website might not be accessible. You can ignore this hint if you link a subdomain or new domain to Onepage.

Error: My site can’t be accessed even though I have done everything correctly. It

keeps telling me that there’s an SSL error or something of those sorts.

Solution: Try going to your website from another device and see if the error still occurs.

Important:

It may take between 24 and 72 hours before your host applies the new settings. Please note that your current website installation won't function any longer. This is why we recommend purchasing a new domain for our site.
