Create & link subpages

In this article you’ll learn how to create subsites and link them to your homepage.

Written by Dmytro

If you want to build a landing page with a menu structure, subpages can be a powerful tool that can provide additional information.

These can be variations of your landing page that aren’t linked to one another, or they can be subpages containing information such as an imprint, privacy policy, or a Thank You message.

Anything you want to link to your main page can be created in a subpage and can be connected to it via a link or modal box.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Log in to your account

Log in to Onepage: Onepage Login

Step 2: Create a page

Click on the project you want, then click "Create".

Step 3: Choose a template or start from scratch

You can either create a completely empty page or use a template.

Onepage offers a variety of prebuilt templates. Besides, you have the option to use your personal templates.

📌 Please note: You also have the option of having your page created using the AI assistant. For more information on this, see the article: Page Generation with AI assistant

Step 4: Select a name for your subpage

Choose a page name and a URL for the new subpage, then click "Start from scratch" or "Start from the template" to create the page.

Step 5: Create a subpage

You can now design your site exactly the way you want:

  • Once you've chosen a template, you can edit it and customize individual elements.

  • If you're starting from scratch, you can add the sections you want and design them however you like.

Step 6: Publish your subpage

Once you've finished creating your page, simply click "Publish". You'll find the button at the bottom left of the page editor.

Step 7: Link your subpage

Copy the link to your subpage and paste it in the main site by creating a CTA button, menu or a footer on your main page.

Basically, you can provide the URL wherever you see this field:

Here are some examples. Click on each of them to see additional information.

CTA Button

If you want to link your subpage to a CTA button, simply click on the button and select the "Link to" option. Right below that, you can then select your subpage or enter the URL manually.

Menu

If you want to link your subpage to a menu item in the header, click on the menu item, select the subpage you want to link to, choose "Link to" as the action, and then select the subpage from the dropdown menu or enter the URL manually.

Footer

We recommend using our footer templates:

You can simply select the needed button and paste the URL:

Step 8: Publish or update your homepage

Wherever you've added the links, you'll need to refresh the page so that the links work properly.
