This feature allows you to transfer projects to different accounts. This is especially helpful for agency businesses, when you create projects for customers.

📌 Please note: this process removes the project from your account and places it in the account of the recipient. After the transfer is done, you will have no access to the project. If you wish to have a copy, we recommend saving the project as a template first or simply duplicate it.

Follow these steps to transfer a project

Step 1: Start the transfer

Log in to Onepage. Go to the "Projects" tab and click on the "..." button near your project. Next, click on "Transfer project".

⚠️ Important: the user you send a project to should already be registered in Onepage with this email.

Step 2: Confirmation from the owner

An Email will be sent to the current owner of the project. Please check your mailbox and click on "Confirm project transfer" in the Email.

⚠️ Important: you must be logged into the sender Onepage account when confirming.

Step 3: Confirmation from the receiver

After the owner has confirmed the transfer, a similar Email will be sent to the receiver, who must also click on "Confirm project transfer" in the Email.

⚠️ Important: the receiver must be logged into their Onepage account when confirming.

🎉 Only after both sides accept the request, the project will be transferred. 🎉

This usually happens in a matter of seconds. In certain cases, however, it may require a few minutes to complete, particularly if the project is extensive in terms of its page count.

How to transfer projects between your own accounts

The process is mostly identical, however, It is crucial to be logged in the corresponding Onepage account during the confirmation of the transfer.

In this case, we will define 2 account types:

  • Sender - the account from which you want to transfer your project.

  • Recipient - the account where the project should be transferred to.

Here is a quick manual on how to do this:

Step 1: Log into the sender Onepage account

Step 2: Start the transfer

Step 3: Confirm the transfer from the sender mailbox

Step 4: Log into the recipient Onepage account

Step 5: Confirm the transfer from the recipient mailbox

Frequently asked questions and solutions

How do I cancel the transfer?

If the transfer was not completed yet, you can go to Onepage and find your project. A "cancel transfer" option will be shown:

How can I get the transferred project back?

There is no option to return the project. The only option would be to ask the recipient to transfer it back.

We suggest saving the project as a template first, or simply create a duplicate.

After the project transfer is complete, the ownership of the project will be transferred to the recipient, who will then assume responsibility for payment.

If the project is using any paid features (f.e. custom domain), the recipient must have a matching licence active. Otherwise, the project will be automatically turned offline. You will still be able to edit it, but not publish. Please purchase a matching licence.
