The heart of Onepage workspace is the builder.

You work with it whenever you create or edit a new page, so it makes sense to review it and get along with it's interface.

Control your page structure with a sidebar

In Onepage, you build pages with sections. The most common action you'll take in Onepage is adding and adjusting sections.

Actions with sections :

— Change the order (drag & drop)

— Rename (double click)

— Add new sections (click "add section")

Sections are pre-made blocks with certain amounts of elements inside. Here's a visualization of how our customer's page breaks down into sections.

Actions with page / project

The lower part of a sidebar is designed to access the most important actions you can do with the whole page. It includes a media library, design options, and general settings. Here you can :

— Open a media library to add/control your media files

— Change design settings

— Access general settings of a page/project

Tip. Design settings are globally applied to the whole project to keep it consistent. That means changing a color palette or a font kit applies to all the other pages within a project.

Editor interface overview

The editing interface consists of a bottom bar and an editing zone which we will cover in the following article. As you might see, there are plenty of buttons we want to take a look at. We are starting from left to right.

Publishing & preview

Use these buttons to publish, update and preview your live page.

If there's a blue button saying "Publish" instead of update, your page is offline. Publish it to be able to reach it via URL. Every time you make changes in the editor, you need to update your page to bring changes live.

Tip. If you edited a page and occasionally closed the tab (or your internet connection went down), no worries, we autosaved your changes. Just reload the tab and update your live page with the button.

Undo / Redo

The next button in a row stands for Undo / Redo functions. Undo is a function performed to reverse the earlier action. For example, undo function can return deleted text or a section you added to the wrong place.

Almost all the actions you do with the editor can be reverted. Just click the button or use Ctrl + Z combination.

Cross-device preview

This button lets you preview the page across different resolutions like phone, tablet, or laptop.

Full-screen mode

Removes sidebars, making concentrating on the most critical aspect of work — building pages easier. We in Onepage recommend having it always turned on for a better building experience.

Tip. While the full-screen mode is turned on, you can still access your sidebar by moving a mouse close to the end of a screen on the left side. Like this :

Quick access search bar

In Onepage, we're obsessed with the productivity aspect of work. This button (or a Ctrl+K combination) opens a search console with many options. You can immediately jump to another project, change the interface language, or access a specific directory of settings directly (like cookie-optin)

It saves plenty of time, especially while simultaneously working long hours on many pages/projects.

Help / Live-chat

Need to get help, browse hotkeys or access our educational library? Now you find the right button for it. It's always accessible while editing, which makes getting service easy and convenient.

Now we went through all the parts of the general editor interface.

Thanks for reading!
