The builder is the heart of the Onepage workspace. You use it when you create a new page or edit an existing one. It is therefore worth getting to know it better and familiarizing yourself with its user interface.
Actions with sections
A section is a pre-built block with a fixed number of elements. In Onepage, you build pages from such sections. The most common action in Onepage is adding and customizing sections.
1. Change the order
You can easily move sections by dragging and dropping them.
2. Rename the section
You can rename the section by double-clicking on it and then clicking on the arrow to apply the change.
3. Add new sections
To create a new section, simply click on "Add section", select one of our templates, or create the section yourself using the "Blueprints" tab.
Actions with the page or project
In addition to sections, you can perform many other actions in the Onepage Editor:
1. Switch between pages
Click on "Pages" and navigate to other pages within your site.
2. Open the media library and manage files
Click on "Media" to add new images, delete existing ones, or create folders.
3. Make design changes
Click on "Design" to customize colors, typography, buttons, or forms.
You can find out more about this in the following articles:
📌 Note: Design settings are applied globally to the entire project to ensure a consistent look and feel.
This means that any changes you make will automatically affect all pages in the project.
4. Embed custom code
Click on the code element to insert code (if available), either for the current page (page code) or for the entire project, i.e., all subpages (site code).
You can choose where the code should be inserted:
<head><body>Styles
5. Edit page settings
Click on "Settings". Under the page settings, you can specify the following:
Page title: The name of your page, for example, "Homepage"
Page address: For example,
/for the home page or/about-me,/services, etc. for subpages.Indexing: Decide whether the page should be indexed by search engines.
Under "SEO", you can specify page descriptions, keywords, alt texts, and other settings for search engine optimization. Please read our article: Configure & Optimize SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

6. Use our AI widget
Click on "AI widget" to use our AI assistant. To create new pages, add or edit sections, and much more.
📌 Note: The "AI Assistant" add-on is required for use.
For a detailed overview of everything you can create with AI, see the article: Onepage AI Assistant.
Overview of the editor interface
The editor interface consists of a bar located at the bottom left.
1. Publish or update
If your page has not yet been published, you will see the blue "Publish" button.
Once you have clicked on "Publish", you will be asked whether you want to publish your page with the stored domain or connect your own domain first, if you have not already done so.
Once your own domain has been connected or you want to connect your site to the Onepage domain, you can finally click on "Publish".
If your site is already online and you have made changes, click on "Update" so that your adjustments are applied online.
📌 Note: If you were editing a page and the tab was closed or your internet connection was interrupted, no worries. Your changes are saved automatically.
If you’ve accidentally published your page or no longer need it, you can take it offline at any time.
To do so, click "Update" → "Unpublish".
2. Switch View
Using the desktop icon, you can switch between desktop and mobile view while editing. This allows you to make adjustments directly for the mobile view.
📌 Note: Changes are applied to the desktop view by default.
If you only want to make adjustments for mobile devices, we recommend the article: Optimizing Your Page for Mobile Devices.
3. Activate "Pro" Mode and New UI
Using the customization icon, you can select the editor theme, for example: light, dark, dark purple, etc.
You also have the option to enable "Pro" mode and the New UI here.
What this means exactly and the benefits it offers can be found in the article:
Discover the Benefits of the New User Interface and Pro Mode
4. Use the AI Widget
With the star icon, you can use our AI Assistant to create new pages, add or edit sections, and much more.
The "AI Assistant" add-on is required to use this feature.
For a detailed overview of what you can create with the AI, see the article: Onepage AI Assistant.
5. Undo Changes
With the undo arrow, you can easily revert changes, for example, if you accidentally deleted text or a section.
If the arrow is grayed out, you’ve likely already left the page or reloaded it. In this case, changes, unfortunately, can no longer be undone.
