In this article, you will find out how to personalize and connect your email template with specific steps from your quiz or form using variables.

Do you want to personally address your leads, referring to the answers they previously gave in the quiz or form? You can personalize the email you send them, by adding their first name or referring to their age or preferences or any other choices you gave them in the quiz.

You can do this using variables.

If you go directly to "Emails", you can find all the templates you created for a project.

In the template, you will see that you can add a variable, but you do not have any predefined choices.

These templates can be edited and used for multiple quizzes in that project.

If you want to personalize the variables for a specific quiz, then you must add the exact "name of the step" from the quiz. This can be "first_name" or it can be "What's your name". Just copy and paste the exact name of the step.

However, there is also a more direct and easy way to do that.

If you want to connect specific steps from a specific quiz with your email template, then you must go directly into the quiz where the email template is located.

Click on "Flow", then go to the "Email" you added at the end of your steps.

If you now click on the curled brackets, you can choose from any of the steps of the quiz and personalize your email as you wish.

Don't forget to save your changes!
