When you connect your custom domain with your Onepage site over name servers, then all the DNS settings move to Onepage. See this article to see how to connect your domain.

This means that you can for example add email records like MX, SPF, TXT.

What’s a CAA record?

A Certification Authority Authorization (CAA) record is used to specify which certificate authorities (CAs) are allowed to issue certificates for a domain.

CAA records allow domain owners to declare which certificate authorities are allowed to issue a certificate for a domain. They also provide a means of indicating notification rules if someone requests a certificate from an unauthorized certificate authority.

If no CAA record is present, any CA is allowed to issue a certificate for the domain. If a CAA record is present, only the CAs listed in the record(s) are allowed to issue certificates for that hostname.

Below, you can see how to add a CAA record in Onepage.

Go to Settings -> Project Settings -> Domain settings and then click on "Edit" next to your custom domain.

Then your DNS settings will be opened and you can click on Add record.

Choose the type, add @ under Name, select the Tag, and then insert the CAA record. Click on Apply and the changes should be saved.

⚠️ Important: make sure to use lowercase letters for the mail server, as capital letters are not allowed.
