Step 1: Access Onepage domain settings

Go to settings ➡️ Project settings ➡️ Domain settings.

Step 2: Add your domain

Please add your domain with a subdomain. In most cases it is "www".

For example: www.yourpage.com

If required, you can select your own subdomain.

For example: offer.yourpage.com

📌 Please note : If you enter "www" as a subdomain, it is automatically removed so that only yourpage.com is transferred. This is completely normal, as a special entry is generated for this in the next step.

Step 3: Select connection type

Depending on whether you have entered "www" or another subdomain, there are two parallel ways in which you can proceed (click to expand):

"www" as a subdomain

Select the preferred connection type:

  • A-records - the domain administration remains with the domain provider and only the "www" subdomain is connected to Onepage.

  • NS-records - This method transfers the domain administration from your domain provider to Onepage. Please note that the e-mail connections must also be reconfigured to Onepage.

Then click on next step and copy the generated entries. You will need to set these up with your domain provider.

Any subdomain (e.g. shop.yourpage.com)

A CNAME entry will be generated for you, which you must copy and set up with your domain provider.

Step 4: Log in to Strato and select your domain

Log in to Strato and click on Domains ➡️ Domain management in the menu left.

Click on the Settings button near your domain.

Step 5: Manage CNAME

Click on DNS ➡️ CNAME

Step 6: Add records

Here are some examples of how the different entry types can be set up correctly (click to expand):

CNAME-record

A-record

NS-record

⚠️ Important: It may take a few hours to connect the domain (up to 48 hours in rare cases). It is therefore possible that the domain will not work immediately.

🎉 The connection between Onepage and Strato is now set up! 🎉

Frequently asked questions and solutions

I have set everything according to the instructions, but the domain does not work.

The domain connection may take some time. It is therefore advisable to wait a few hours.

If the domain is not successfully connected, this is usually due to incorrect settings. Please check the configuration and check any error messages in Onepage.

Do I also have to add the "www" Subdomain in Onepage?

Yes, please enter. The "wцw" will be removed automatically, but this is expected as it will be generated later in a special DNS entry.

Do I have to purchase the SSL certificate additionally?

No, the SSL certificate is already included in your payment plan and is generated by Onepage. It is not necessary to purchase the SSL from the domain provider.
