The Precipitation Map in the OneSoil Scouting mobile app allows you to monitor the movement of rain clouds over your fields. You can see where and with what intensity it rained 24 hours ago, where it is raining now, and where it will rain in half an hour. This will help you plan your work and avoid unnecessary visits to the field.

How it works

We use radar data that shows rain clouds and overlay them with a separate color layer on the regular map in the application. Here are the colors of the layer, depending on the intensity of precipitation:

Pink — heavy rain, green — light rain, red — medium rain.

The data is updated every 10 minutes if you are connected to the Internet.

We use precipitation data from the RainViewer app.

Where to find the Precipitation Map

In the OneSoil Scouting mobile app, on the Fields tab, select the Precipitation parameter above the list of fields. The app will show you the current precipitation map. To view precipitation 24 hours ago or half an hour ahead, use the selector arrows.
