The matrix is a very powerful tool for displaying a variety of data from different sources. You may have your CRM, phone and financial systems all pulling into this one place. Considering this, you will likely want to configure and save some reports (or views) that you'd like to see regularly.

To create a new view you simply select and arrange the metrics/users to your desired structure and then choose the time frame you'd like the data to span. The most important step is to save this configuration, making it a report that you can revisit anytime.

Once saved, a Matrix view/report will remember:

  • The metrics you added

  • The users you selected

  • The time period the report is over (this can be changed within the view after saving, without affecting the rest of the report)

  • The arrangement of metric columns

  • Whether you've chosen the user or team view at the top right of the page.

🚨Only the user who created a view can overwrite it/make changes - if you want to change the owner of a view please get in touch with the support team 🚨

Creating a new view

  1. Open the Matrix, found in the navigation bar, under Analyse (the Matrix initially loads with a non-configured set up).

  2. To start a view from scratch, use the handy 'Remove All Columns' button (the eraser icon) towards the top right of the page. This will remove all the default metrics so you can start with a fresh slate.

  3. Use the Select a Metric dropdown to add the metrics you're interested in. You can even add the same metric multiple times if you'd like to compare over different time periods!

  4. You can then drag and drop the metric columns in order to rearrange them.

  5. On the left hand side where your users are, hover over a user and click the bin icon to delete anyone you don't need from the configuration.

  6. Finally use the date picker at the top of the page to set a timeframe for your report.

  7. Once that's done, your view is ready to be saved so you don't need to go through this process again! Click the floppy disk icon at the right of the page to save your view.

  8. Enter a name for your view in the window that appears, then click Save.

  9. Your report is saved and can be accessed from the View Finder dropdown menu in the top left of your screen or the View Manager (the eye icon towards the top right of your page).
