Use the Dictionary to supercharge your CRM data

Overview

Before we explain what the dictionary does, it's best to start with what problem it solves.

OneUp connects with your CRM to sync data between OneUp and your CRM. Inside your CRM you will have record types. An example of these includes:

  • Appointment

  • Candidate

  • Note

Each record type has a set structure of data that is held under it. When we sync data between your CRM and OneUp, we receive all of the data associated with that record type.

The Problem

Data Insights allows you to dive deeper into the figures you see on your Matrix and Dashboard. Previously, you were unable to customise the Data Insights table, leaving you with messy, unstructured data.

The Solution

The Dictionary is our solution to this problem. Inside the Dictionary, you have the ability to bring structure to your data, so you can see the information that matter to your business. You are able to create a custom configuration for how you want your data to be displayed inside Data Insights.

A great example of this is wanting to see the client that a booked interview is with, or the source for a candidate.

Defining or renaming mappings

From your Dictionary, you can define 'mappings' from raw data sent to us by your CRM. This allows a high level of customisation, however, it does require some technical knowledge. Head to this article for more information on defining custom mappings.

Reordering columns

The order of your columns inside the dictionary translates to how we order your columns inside Data Insights. Simply drag and drop the order of your mappings to change the order in which they appear in Data Insights.

How do I access the Dictionary?

The dictionary can be accessed via the More menu on the navigation bar.

This option will only appear if you have permissions to access the Dictionary. To add permissions, ask one of your account admins to enable the permission for you from the permissions page.
