Anthems are the perfect way to personalise your deal celebrations with your favourite song, but there are some issues that can occur when uploading your audio file.

Anthem troubleshooting

Your audio file must meet certain criteria in order to be uploaded.

  • It must be no larger than 5MB;

  • It must be of mp3 file type.

If your sound files don't meet these criteria, don't worry! You can try reducing the duration of your audio file or adjusting the bitrate.

Reducing the duration of the track

The longer your track is, the more storage space it takes up! Trimming your track into a smaller segment is the best way to reduce its file size. We recommend trimming your audio down to a thirty second sound bite. Here's a tutorial for this:

🚨We strongly recommend you install an adblocker before visiting the below site - it may have annoying pop-ups🚨

  1. Once you have your chosen audio file, visit https://clideo.com/cut-audio.

  2. Upload your file to the site by clicking Choose File and selecting it from your computer.

  3. A new page opens displaying your audio track as a waveform. The green box on the waveform represents the audio section to be clipped. Drag the box to the portion of the audio you want to clip.

  4. You can press the grey play button underneath the waveform to preview your clip.

  5. Remember that the audio clip must be no longer than 30 seconds.

  6. When you're happy with the section you'd like to clip, press Cut at the bottom right.

  7. On the next page, your clip will be processed. Once it's done, the clip is ready to be downloaded! Click the green Download button.

  8. Try to upload your new anthem to OneUp. This time it should be small enough!

Adjusting the bitrate of the track

If you really don't want to reduce the duration of your clip, changing the bitrate of your audio allows you to reduce its size without trimming it. Bitrate determines the quality of your track.

Before following these steps, check your track's current bitrate to determine how much you need to lower it.

On Windows, you can do this by right clicking the file, selecting Properties, then Details, and checking the Bitrate row. On Mac, right click the file, select Get Info, and check the Bitrate section.

  1. Once you have your chosen audio clip, visit https://online-audio-converter.com/.

  2. Upload your file to the site by clicking Open Files and selecting it from your computer.

  3. Use the slider below the Open Files button to change the bitrate of your audio. We recommend setting it to 128kbps - anything lower than that and the quality starts to diminish greatly.

  4. Press the convert button. Let the website do its thing!

  5. When it's complete, click the blue Download link.

  6. Try to upload your new anthem to OneUp. This time it should be small enough!
