The Scheduled Event trigger enables you to trigger a workflow at a specified date or time. This trigger is ideal when you're looking to have a workflow fire every time a specific date or time is met.

Setup

Required Fields

There are 3 required fields when setting up a Scheduled Event stage:

Starting on...

The date that you want the workflow to first fire on.

At...

The time you want your workflow to first fire on.

In the timezone...

The timezone that you want your workflow to fire in (this is guessed for you, however, you can change it if needed).

Do you want your workflow to repeatedly trigger after the first trigger date specified?

What period should the workflow repeat?

Monthly

Repeat days

What days of the week should the workflow trigger?

Note: this option is only visible when the daily period is selected.

What interval should the workflow trigger on?

Note: this option is not visible when the daily period is selected.

1 months

eg. if 'Monthly' is selected and this field is set to 2, it would trigger every other month from the 'Starting on' date.


Common Use Cases

The Scheduled Event stage can serve a wide variety of use cases, some of the most common are listed below.

At the start of every month at 9 am

A Scheduled Event block showing the start of every month at 9am

Every other week at 5 pm on a Monday

A Scheduled Event block showing every other week at 5pm on Mondays

Every week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays

A Scheduled Event block showing every week on Monday Wednesday and Friday

Every quarter start of the quarter at 9 am
