Custom automations are set up to automatically go off when their trigger condition is met.
However, there'll be times when the team wasn't there to celebrate, or times when the trigger condition wasn't met (for example, if the performance data was in the past), but you'd like to manually fire a celebration anyway.
This article will cover:
For cases where your team wasn't around to witness it.
For cases where the automation conditions weren't met.
How to replay a celebration
Every custom automation has a log, listing every time the automation ran, in the last 90 days. Simply replay an automation through the log, by following these steps:
Navigate to Manage and then custom automations.
Find the specific automation, select it to open it, and navigate to the log tab.
Select the replay icon on the far right of the event you'd like to replay.
π‘ You're able to replay any type of automation from this area, not just TV flashes!
How to manually fire a celebration
Before taking the below steps, ensure that the record itself is showing on the platform.
If the data is missing, follow the troubleshooting steps here instead.
Select Automate and then Custom automations to find the specific automation.
Select it to open it up and examine its configuration.
Take note of the specific metric and amount that it should be increased by.
Select the 3 dots in the top right of the platform and select Report Activity.
From this page, first select the user you would like the automation to go off for, in the top right.
Ensure that the date is today's date.
Select the metric you took note of in the last step, it is important that this metric matches the metric for the automation you are manually firing.
Once that is selected, input a value to increase that metric by (again, make sure this value matches or is above the value that the automation is set up with).
Select submit report.
This should manually fire your celebration!

As the final step, remove the data you manually added, so it does not alter figures.
Go to Settings, then Platform Data. From here, ensure that the date range is today's date, and select Fetch Records.
Find the manual data you just added, and click on the red 'x' button on the right side of the column to remove it.
