Workflows allow you to automate a number of handy processes on the platform. A workflow has a single owner, only the owner can make changes to the workflow. However, there may be instances where the owner of a workflow may need to transfer it to another user. This may happen when an employee leaves the company, or when the owner moves to a different role within the organization. Whatever the reason may be, transferring a workflow can be done easily and efficiently.

In this article, we'll discuss the steps required to transfer a workflow from one user to another.

Transferring Ownership As The Owner

To transfer a workflow, you must be the owner of the workflow

Step 1: Navigate to the Workflow You Want to Transfer

Navigate to Automate, the last item in the navigation bar, and select Workflows. Locate the workflow you would like to transfer and select it to open the workflow.

Step 2: Select the 'Transfer Ownership' Option

Once you've selected the workflow you want to transfer, click on the action button menu in the top right corner. From here, select the Transfer ownership option. This will open a window where you can select the user you'd like to transfer the workflow to.

Step 3: Select the User You'd Like to Transfer the Workflow To

On the 'Transfer Ownership' window, select the user you'd like to transfer the workflow to. You can do this by typing in the user's name in the dropdown provided. Once you've selected the user, click 'Transfer'.

That's it! The workflow has now been transferred to the user you selected. The new owner of the workflow will now have full access to edit and manage the workflow.
