How to Update the Shipping Address for a Gift Subscription

If you're sending a subscription as a gift, you may want the shipping label to show the recipient’s name and address — not your own.

Here’s how to update the shipping address depending on where you’re accessing it:


✏️ For Merchants (in the Ongoing App):

To update the shipping name and address for a customer’s subscription:

  1. Go to Subscriptions in your Ongoing dashboard

  2. Click into the specific subscription

  3. In the Shipping Address section, click Update Address

  4. Update the name (e.g., “Harmony Dancer”) and/or address

  5. Click Save

✅ This is the address that prints on the shipping label for all future renewals.


🧾 For Customers (in the Customer Portal):

If a customer placed a gift subscription and wants to edit the shipping address:

  1. Open the Ongoing Customer Portal

  2. Click “Shipping Address”

  3. Update the recipient name and address

  4. Click Save

✅ This will update where future deliveries are sent.


🛠️ Optional: Shopify Customer Profile

If the customer name or default address looks off (e.g., shows the gift recipient instead of the sender), merchants can:

  • Go to Shopify → Customers → [Customer Name]

  • Click Edit on the default address

  • Enter the correct sender name and address

📝 Note: This change affects the Customer Information section in Ongoing, but not the shipping label. The shipping label always uses the address saved in Ongoing’s shipping section.
