In terms of pre-order, or pre-sales for subscription boxes, Shopify does not have this functionality currently for subscription products.

Shopify is planning to release an update early next year 2022 for this called "draft orders".

We are looking forward to the new Draft Orders functionatliy on Shopify. Once it's avaiabele on Shopify, we'll make it available on Ongoing.

What is a Pre-order?

A pre-order is an order placed for an item that has not yet been released.

Example: Let's say it's October, and I have a subscription box launching in December so I start taking "pre-orders" for that subscription box.
