How to Add Anchored Billing a to Subscription Plan
When the customer buys a Pay Per Delivery subscription, they pay the day they purchase the product, and then the next automated billing date would be the one the merchant selected as the anchored billing date.
Example: Let's say the merchant anchors the billing date to the 5th of every month.
If a customer purchased a monthly subscription (Pay Per Delivery), they'd pay the day of purchase and then automatically be charged on the 5th of every month.
Do Anchor Billing Dates work with Pay Per Delivery Subscriptions?
Yes. Example: Delivery delivery every 1 month, and billing every 1 month --- this would work for you.
Do Anchor Billing Dates work with Prepaid Subscriptions?
Sorry, anchor billing dates do not currently work with Prepaid subscriptions.
Example: If you are trying to do delivery every 1 month and billing every 3 months --- this would not work for you.
QUICK FACTS
Currently, you can create an anchor date on a new subscription plan.
Cut-off dates are currently unavailable, like "order by the 20th, and get this box". New feature is coming soon
The delivery and billing must be the same to use anchor billing dates.
Here's how it works: If a merchant has an anchor date on the 1st of the month and a customer subscriber on October 31st, The customer would get charged on October 31st and again on November 1st, the next day because the anchor date is the 1st of the month. The merchant would send them the October subscription product and then the November product.
Depending on your product type and process, this may or may not work for you.
From Ongoing, click on Subscription Groups
2. After you enter a group name, click on Add Plan
3. Select Show Advanced
4. Check the box to activate the Custom anchor date
5. Enter an Anchor Billing Date, which is the date customers will be charged on. We recommend the 1st of the month.
Are Cut-Off Dates Available?
Not at this time.
If a merchant has an anchor date on the 1st of the month and a customer subscriber on October 31st, The customer will get charged on October 31st and November 1st the next day because the anchor date is the 1st of the month. However, the customer will get charged only on the 1st of the month, such as Dec. 1st, Jan 1st, and so on.
If this scenario sounds good to you, this feature might be a good fit for you.
