Here at Ongoing, we do not store any credit cards numbers of your customers.

Shopify would be the one that stores credit cards for customers.

It’s all vaulted and encrypted by Shopify and uses tokenization technology, like a bank.

Ongoing handles the triggering of recurring payments and billing logic on our side.

Shopify handles all of these actual financial transactions on their side along with the payment processor of your choice (such as Stripe, Authorize.net, Paypal, and Shopify Payments) so it's very secure.

Sorry, but no, you would not be able to offer subscriptions with just Shopify.

  • Without a 3rd party app like Ongoing Subscriptions, you would not be able to offer subscriptions on your store just with Shopify, as they do not have this capability on their own.
