Ongoing now has the ability for merchants to freeze their subscription billing. This feature is extremely useful for many different situations.

Freezing billing gives the merchant piece of mind knowing that their subscriptions are no longer firing at that moment, and no future orders will be created until they are ready to resume.

  • If the merchant has an issue with a price increase on their products and needs to adjust all subscription contracts, they can freeze their subscription billing until changes have been made

  • If the merchant has an issue with a shipping price increase and needs to adjust all subscription contracts, they can freeze their subscription billing until changes have been made

  • If a merchant is switching to a new 3PL, and suddenly finds themselves with zero inventory, they can freeze their subscriptions. Ongoing will automatically lock the billing so the customers won’t be charged and orders won’t be created.

How Freeze Billing Works

From Ongoing app > click Subscriptions on left hand side > Click Freeze Subscriptions

Once you’ve done that you, can confirm you would like to proceed forward

Ongoing will automatically freeze subscription contracts which can take up to 24 hours to be completely frozen

You can undo this at any time by clicking Stop Freezing & it will automatically start the subscription billing up again.
