If you just want to temporarily remove the subscription widget, please keep the Ongoing app installed.
From Shopify Dashboard ( 2.0 Themes):
Step 1: Go to Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize
Step 2: From Theme Builder drop down menu, select Products
Step 3: Click Default Product
PRO TIP: If you are not seeing a subscription product, change the product you're viewing to any of your subscription products by clicking "change" in the top left hand corner
Step 4: Click the Eyeball icon shut next to SUBSCRIPTION PLANS app block
Step 5: Don't forget to click Save
This will hide the Ongoing Subscription widget from displaying on your products. Keep the app installed so we can keep everything "on ice" so you can come back at any time and display the subscription widget.
