Utilizing the text to voice phone call option in the Message Center is a quick and easy way to convert your text to voice by entering the text of your message right from your computer, eliminating the need to find a quiet space to record a message.
Get started by going to jmc Office's Message Center > Send Messages and we'll have you selecting your contacts, creating your message, and having it read to families within minutes.
Step One: Select a radio button from "Select" box to filter which student contacts to call. Then fill out the appropriate fields highlighted below.
Sequential: enter a range of student IDs in the "From" and "To" fields
Random: select one or more students by entering their name or student ID in the "Find" drop-down list
Grade: enter a grade level range in the "From" and "To" drop-down lists and select a gender using the "Gender" drop-down list
Advisor: enter a range of advisor IDs in the "From" and "To" fields
Course: select one or more courses by entering the course name or teacher name in the "Available Courses" drop-down list
Activity: select one or more activities by selecting the activity name in the "Activities" box
Bus Route #: select a bus route number from the "Route Bus #" drop-down list
Random Contact: select one or more contacts by entering their name in the "Find" drop-down list
Tag: select a student tag from the "Tag" drop-down list
Step Two: Select the "Phone Call (Text to Voice)" radio button from the "Message Type" box to indicate you'd like to send a text to voice phone call.
Step Three: Place a checkmark in the checkbox for who should receive the recorded phone call.
Contacts: all primary and secondary contacts
Primary Contacts Only: primary contacts only
Students: student cell numbers
Step Four: Place a checkmark in the "Call Group" box to select a call type to send your text to voice phone call to.
Step Five: Select when you'd like the message sent by clicking the "Send Now" or "Schedule Time" radio button.
Step Six: If you selected "Schedule Time" to send your message in the future enter the send date and time in the appropriate fields or simply click the calendar or clock icon.
Fun Fact: Selecting "Schedule Time" is great for sending out reminders created in advance and scheduled to be sent out later.
Step Seven: Click the "OK" button when you are ready to put those fingers to the keyboard and craft your text to voice message.
Step Eight: Enter your text to voice message in the message box.
Step Nine: Click the "Send" button to make the call.
