Advisors in jmc are teachers that are assigned to students to fulfill a variety of "homeroom" teacher roles such as communicating with families, monitoring student grades, or organizing parent-teacher conferences. In jmc Office, choose a student and assign a second advisor to provide an additional teacher with access to student academic progress, missing scores and other student information through the jmc Teacher portal.

To get started assigning a second advisor to a student, log in to jmc Office and navigate to the "View Student Data" page.

Step One: Enter the student's name in the "Find" field to choose a student requiring a second advisor.

Step One: Select the student to assign the advisor to by entering the name of the student in the "Find" field.

Step Two: Select a teacher from the "Advisor 2" drop-down list to assign an additional advisor to the student.

Helpful Tip: Can't find the advisor you are looking for? Head to the Attendance > Staff > Teachers page to add a teacher to the list of available advisors.

Step Three: Click the “Save” button to update the advisor(s) assigned to the student.
